Hello, I invite you to come along to my lovely little newborn photography studio which is located just off the main London Rd in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The studio is right on the borders of Surrey, Kent, and East Sussex. So within easy reach from Crawley, Redhill, Tunbridge Wells and Haywards Heath.

Your newborn baby will change so much in the first few weeks, they grow up way too fast! It feels like only yesterday my baby sister was waddling around in nappies like a sumo warrior; now she's fifteen and wants to borrow my clothes! The newborn stage is just so special, and full of wonder. I really do love to create images that are going to remind you in ten years from now, of how dinky your little one was. To take you back to a time when you spent hours wandering what they would be like as they grew. To me, it's not just about taking photographs; it's pressing the pause button on life just for a moment. Not only that - I'm not gonna lie - I do love a cuddle, (with your baby, of course, though I'm happy to oblige if you need one too). I love capturing the little details that remind you of how very new and precious your baby is. Those chubby cheeks and delicate flakes of skin and those tiny little toes! However one of the things I love most about my job, is seeing your reaction when you see your babies photos for the very first time. That is why I do what I do...

'Cause I wonder where you are, and I wonder what you do, are you somewhere feeling lonely? Or is someone loving you?' Oops sorry I got a bit carried away there (good old Lionel Richie). If you haven't already guessed it, I'm a music lover. Soul, Funk, and R& B though you can't go wrong with a bit of Reggae or even Rock & Roll. What to expect from a Newborn Photoshoot
Before The Shoot
The best time to photograph your newborn baby is when they are between five and fifteen days old (a maximum of twenty-one days). This is when your little one is at their most sleepy and supple, allowing for the safest, natural and snuggly poses. At this age their skin is also usually super soft and they still might have those beautiful little newborn flakes of skin.
I recommend booking your newborn photoshoot after you have had your twenty-week scan. It's impossible to know the actual date your little one will arrive and there is no guarantee he or she will be on time! I will schedule three dates with you. One before, after and around your due date. We will stay in touch and we can alter dates as required so that we don't miss the best time to capture beautiful photographs of the new love in your life!
I will choose the setups for your session and will have everything prepared for you when you arrive, so you don't have to worry about anything. I will of course ask you how your home is decorated and will try and use colours that will compliment your colour scheme. This way any artwork you might choose to order will look fabulous on a feature wall in your home!
During The Shoot
I can only imagine that you will likely be feeling quite sleep deprived when the little one arrives; not only have you just given birth to this perfect tiny human but I expect you have been in social demand with everyone wanting to meet the new arrival! So with that in mind, I want you to know you are in safe hands. It is really important to me that you feel comfortable and relaxed, so you will more than likely be plied with tea, and maybe even a few biscuits thrown in for good measure. Once you are settled and the baby has had a feed, I will then focus my attention on your little one.
Having been professionally trained as a newborn photographer, I will handle your baby with the utmost care and due diligence at all times. I like to make it clear from the offset that my photography sessions are baby-led and I will be assessing your baby's comfort and safety throughout the session, making them my priority before taking any photos. I will start by wrapping your baby in a soft wrap, which makes them feel cocooned as if still in the womb. I will then work through the poses. I like to create unique set-ups for each of my newborn sessions and work to a specific flow, ensuring your baby is safe and content at all times. The session can last anything between one and four hours, allowing plenty of time if baby needs top-up feeds, cuddles or nappy changes.
After The Shoot
After our session, I will spend some time hand editing your images with my own unique editing style.
You should expect to hear from me within 1-3 weeks to arrange a viewing of your finished images at my newborn photography studio.
After viewing your gallery, it is then that you decide which image package you would like to purchase, so you only pay for the images you love.
You will be able to see examples of all of the available artwork when you come to the studio. I have specifically chosen a printing lab that not only provides excellent quality but is also environmentally friendly.

I don't know about you, but personally, when I'm investing my money into something, I like to see exactly what I'm going to be getting. So, with that in mind the only thing you pay for upfront is the session fee. The session fee includes everything listed below, secures your date, and ensures I don't take another booking that day so it's non-refundable.

After your photoshoot, you will have the option to purchase a digital image package or wall art should you wish. I have a selection of samples in my East Grinstead studio so you can check the professional quality of the artwork that I offer.
All my artwork and prints are ordered from an award winning printing lab for professional photographers. Not only have I chosen this lab for the great quality products they offer, but for every order I place with them they will commit to planting a tree to help replace the wood and energy used in construction of that product! So many of us are looking for ways to make our daily life more earth-friendly and so I wanted to offer a product that was not only beautiful but sustainable too.
