Professional Maternity Photography
Every woman's journey in to motherhood is so completely different, and I genuinely love to hear your stories. For some it's not been quite as plain sailing as you may have hoped, making this part of your life even more momentous. Maybe you only plan on experiencing motherhood once, or maybe you have just waited a really long time for this. Whatever your reasons for considering a maternity photoshoot, I'm not here to just take pictures. I'm here to help document your memories and capture that emotion and joy you feel, as you wait in anticipation for this little miracle you have housed in your belly to arrive.
Maternity photography is a very personal service and I understand how important it is that you choose the right photographer, someone that will put you at ease. I want you to think of our session as a cuppa with a friend, who's bringing her camera along.
It's so important to me that you feel welcome and comfortable in my little photography studio, which is situated just off the main London Rd in East Grinstead, West Sussex. We're right on the borders of Surrey, Kent and East Sussex, so we aren't too far from Crawley, Redhill, Tunbridge Wells or Haywards Heath.
What to expect from a Maternity Photoshoot
Before The Shoot
Before you come along to my lovely little studio in East Grinstead, we will have a chat about what it is you are looking for. What kind of images would look good displayed on your wall? What colour schemes might work best. I will always do my best to accommodate your requirements where I can.
I have a small selection of some absolutely stunning maternity dresses, and material to style the session with if this is the kind of look you want to go for. Perhaps you want to embrace the bump and show it off in all its natural glory! Whatever you decide, I will provide a warm and friendly environment where you can be free to express who you are and allow me to capture this very special time in your life.
We will discuss any concerns or worries you might have and the possibility of including your partner, children or even pets.
We will also have a little chat about what package best suits you. I have two to choose from, the classic session or the elegance package which is designed to make you feel a little bit more pampered as you will get to have your make-up and hair done by professional artists.
During The Shoot
When you arrive at the studio, the first thing I'll do is get the drinks in. We can have a chat and get settled and I'll show you the set-up which will be prepared and ready for your arrival.
If you have selected the elegance package then you will be having your make-up applied by Julie, our professional make-up artist, and then off to see Heather to have your hair styled for the session. During this time we will be chatting, tea drinking, and biscuit munching.

After The Shoot
After our maternity photoshoot in East Grinstead, I will go and spend some time hand editing your images.
You will hear from me within 1-3 weeks to arrange a gallery viewing of your images. This is where I will invite you back to the studio to show you your finished images. You will then choose which images you like. When you have decided you can then purchase the digital image package that best suits your requirements.
I do also provide prints and have some beautiful artwork available to really showcase your photographs in your home. You can see the quality of the artwork when you come to the studio.

The good news is, that you don't pay for any images until you have seen them! Personally, when I'm investing in something, I like to see exactly what I'm going to be getting for my money. With that in mind, the only thing you pay for upfront, is the session fee.
The session fee includes everything listed below, secures your session, and ensures I don't take another booking that day so it's non-refundable.

Wall Art
After your photoshoot, you will have the option to purchase a digital image package or wall art should you wish. I have a selection of samples in my East Grinstead studio so you can check the professional quality of the artwork that I offer.
All my artwork and prints are ordered from an award winning printing lab for professional photographers. Not only have I chosen this lab for the great quality products they offer, but for every order I place with them they will commit to planting a tree to help replace the wood and energy used in construction of that product! So many of us are looking for ways to make our daily life more earth-friendly and so I wanted to offer a product that was not only beautiful but sustainable too.
