The Cake Smash & Splash Photoshoot is a fun and creative way to celebrate your little one's first or second birthday with a splash of joy!
We'll chat about your preferred theme or colours, and I'll make sure the setup is picture-perfect for your arrival.
I team up with a fantastic local baker in East Grinstead to provide the cake, giving you a choice between lemon or vanilla with a delicious cream and jam filling. Plus, I've got a selection of adorable outfits ready to go!
Just bring your baby and soak in the experience. Some parents prefer the shoot on the actual birthday, while others like to have the photos beforehand for invitations or sharing online.
We'll work around your baby's nap schedule to capture those precious, smile-filled moments at just the right time.
During The Photoshoot
When you arrive at the studio, we’ll let your baby explore and get comfy in their new surroundings. New noises and being the centre of attention might feel a bit overwhelming for some, so they might need a little extra time to settle in. No worries. I’ll snap a few test shots of your little one in the outfit they arrive in (and if you want to chat about outfit choices to match the theme, I’m all ears). Once your baby is more relaxed, we’ll dive into the fun part—the cake smash. Your baby’s face when they realise this whole cake is just for them is priceless. I can’t wait to see their reaction. Will they be the cautious type, dipping a tiny finger or toe in first? Or will they dive in headfirst, no holds barred? It’s such a joy to see their little faces light up, and I love capturing those adorable expressions! After your baby has had their cake and eaten it too, I’ll set up a warm, bubbly bath for them to splash around in. In my experience, babies absolutely love getting all the sticky cake off and really enjoy this part of the photoshoot, so it usually makes for some fantastic photos.

In just 2-3 weeks, I'll reach out to let you know your gallery is ready. You’ll have the option to swing by the studio to pick your favourites or browse through a private online gallery at your leisure.
