Hello, if you are looking for a Cake Smash Photographer in West Sussex, then you have come to the right place! I'm Hazel and I am here to create a relaxed and fun photoshoot for your little ones birthday celebration.
The cake smash photo shoot will take place in my lovely garden studio, which is just off the main London Rd in East Grinstead, West Sussex. Just a short drive away, from Crawley, Redhill, Tunbridge Wells and Haywards Heath.
You're probably wondering why you should choose me as your photographer. There are hundreds of Cake Smash Photographers in West Sussex, so I know you're totally spoilt for choice, but my sessions are 100% baby-led. I want your baby to enjoy the experience as much as you do. So I will be doing everything I can to ensure its smiles all round. We won't rush; there will be no pressure or stress, your little one will come first, and I will just be there to capture them having a jolly good time!
I'll be interacting with your little one and capturing all those wonderful expressions, like when they realise that this whole cake is for them! The tiny toes and sticky hands... Finishing the session with a splash in the tub.
Whether it's your baby's very first birthday celebration, or even their second. I'm sure you will agree that they are growing very quickly. They have changed so much since when they were first born. Their personality is coming to fruition and they are becoming little people. Before you know it, they will be off to school! It is my absolute pleasure to capture their very first birthday and create beautiful memories for you to look back on ten years from now, and be reminded of how little they once were.

What to expect from a Cake Smash Photoshoot
Before The Shoot
The Cake Smash & Splash Photoshoot is a fun way to celebrate your little one's very first or even second birthday. I don't suppose there even needs to be an age limit. I've seen fifty-year-old women do a cake smash photoshoot and puppies!
Before you book in, we will chat about what theme or colour scheme you have in mind. I will do all I can to accommodate and will style a beautiful scene ready for when you arrive. I will arrange for a beautiful cake to be made, so do let me know if your little one has any food allergies. I have a small selection of outfits and will provide where I can.
All you need to do is bring your baby along. We'll discuss the best times to suit your baby's nap time schedule so that we can achieve the best smiley photos possible.
During The Shoot
When you arrive at the studio, we will let your baby explore and get comfortable in his or her surroundings. New noises and being the centre of attention might be a little daunting for some and they might need a little extra time to adjust. No problem. I'll take a few test shots of your little one in the outfit they arrive in (If you'd like to discuss outfit choices to best suit the theme, I'm happy to help).
Once your baby is a little more relaxed, we will move on to the fun part! The cake smash. Your baby's face, when they realise that this whole cake is for them, is what gets me. I can't wait to see how they will react. Are they the shy type that will start by dipping in a finger or even a toe? Or are they going the whole hog and chomping head first into the cake? It's so fun to see their little faces light up and I just love capturing those cute expressions!
After your baby has demolished the cake, I will prepare a lovely warm bubbly bath where they can have a good old splash. In my experience, I find that babies really love to get all the sticky cake off them and really enjoy this part of the photoshoot so it usually makes for great photos.
After The Shoot
After our cake smash photoshoot, I will go and spend some time hand editing your images.
You will hear from me within 1-3 weeks to arrange a gallery viewing of your finished images in my little studio in East Grinstead.
When you come to the studio to view your finished images, you will be given the opportunity to select the image package you would like to purchase. So you only pay for images you love.
I do also provide some beautiful artwork should you wish to display your beautiful photographs at home. You can see examples of all the artwork available in the studio so you can see and feel the quality for yourself.

I don't know about you, but personally, when I'm investing my money into something, I like to see exactly what I'm going to be getting. So, with that in mind the only thing you pay for upfront is the session fee. The session fee includes everything listed below, secures your date, and ensures I don't take another booking that day so it's non-refundable.

After your photoshoot, you will have the option to purchase a digital image package or wall art should you wish. I have a selection of samples in my East Grinstead studio so you can check the professional quality of the artwork that I offer.
All my artwork and prints are ordered from an award winning printing lab for professional photographers. Not only have I chosen this lab for the great quality products they offer, but for every order I place with them they will commit to planting a tree to help replace the wood and energy used in construction of that product! So many of us are looking for ways to make our daily life more earth-friendly and so I wanted to offer a product that was not only beautiful but sustainable too.
